Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DocumentInsight.ai (the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service in Brief

DocumentInsight.ai is a web-based platform that lets you:

• Upload or link files (text, PDF, image, audio) ("User Content").
• Convert files to searchable text (PDF-to-text, speech-to-text).
• Generate metadata (keywords, headers, summaries).
• Organize your content in folders and sub-folders, manually or with AI help.
• Build AI-powered indexes (snapshots) on folders for faster, smarter search.
• Run natural-language queries across any snapshots or files to get answers, summaries, insights.

Eligibility & Account Security

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract.
• Provide accurate, current registration details and protect your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

User Content & Licenses

• You keep all rights to your User Content.
• By uploading content, you grant DocumentInsight.ai a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, index, process, transform, cache, and display your content, solely to operate and improve the Service.
• We do not use your content or derived text to train AI models without your explicit permission.
• You represent and warrant that you have rights to upload the content and that your content does not infringe third-party rights.

Automated Processing & AI Output

• We use third-party AI models (e.g., OpenAI) for processing.
• AI output may be inaccurate or biased. Always verify results before relying on them.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
• Use the Service for malicious or deceptive purposes.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass any security or usage limits.
• Disrupt the Service or others’ use of it.
• Use bots or scrapers outside our API and rate limits without consent.

Violation of these rules may lead to suspension or termination of your account without refund.

Subscription Plans, Free Tier & Payments

• We offer a Free Tier with limited storage, processing time, and Hybrid GPTs application.
• Paid Tiers remove or raise those limits. Pricing, billing cycles, and overage fees are shown at checkout.
• All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Downgrading or canceling your plan may cause loss of features or data access.

Communications & Consent

• By creating an account and using the Service, you agree that we may send you:
• Essential account, workspace, site, and system messages via email, SMS, or in-app notifications.
• Promotional materials, newsletters, and marketing messages by email or text message.
• You can opt out of promotional emails or texts at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or by contacting us at privacy@documentinsight.ai. Opting out of promotional messages will not affect the delivery of essential account or system messages.

Intellectual Property

• All intellectual property rights in the Service (software, interfaces, branding) belong to DocumentInsight.ai or our licensors.
• Except for the license you grant in Section 3, no other rights are given to you.

Privacy & Data Security

• We process personal data per our Privacy Policy.
• We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
• No system is completely secure; maintain your own backups and keep your email account secure.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. DocumentInsight.ai does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, nor the accuracy of AI-generated content.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DocumentInsight.ai AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY AMOUNT EXCEEDING THE GREATER OF:

• The fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability; or USD 100.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold DocumentInsight.ai harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of:

• Your User Content;
• Your breach of these Terms;
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights in connection with the Service.

Termination

• You can stop using the Service at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms.
• Upon termination, your license ends and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.

Changes to the Service or Terms

• We may update the Service or Terms to reflect changes in technology, law, or business needs.
• Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
• Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without conflict-of-law rules.
• Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Rishon Le Zion, Israel.
