1. What is DocumentInsight.ai?
DocumentInsight.ai is a web-based platform that uses AI to help you search, summarize, and extract insights from your documents quickly and efficiently.
2. How to you differ from other platforms such as NotebookLM, or just plain LLM models?
That's an excellent question!
RAG stands for Retrieval-Augmented Generation. It is a way for AI to find real information and use it to give better answers.
There are many way to accomplish this.
The most prominent difference is a technical one. In simple terms, if information was a huge field of books laying in the dark:

Plain LLMs would use a single powerful light projector to shine on a large area of the field (called a "context window") and thus illuminate that area (get the data from it).

Our proprietary approach uses numerous small agents, each with a small flashlight, to plow through the entire field bit by bit (not just specific areas).
Able to find any and all hidden insights in the information, relevant to the query, either explicitly or implicitly.
Slower. It may take a few minutes to get the results, depending on the size of the data. However, there are ways to speed it up (see smart snapshots).
3. What are Smart-Snapshots and how do they work?
Smart-Snapshots are a unique feature of DocumentInsight.ai that allows you to create custom insights from your documents.
Using an AI prompt you extract a detailed facet or viewpoint of your data (under a specific folder in your folder strudcture) for fast future queries.
This is part of our approach of data-cleaning or data-refining, which we believe is a prime way to get the most out of the power of AI.
Later searches done based on such snapshots will be much faster and much more revealing.
4. What are Alerts in DocumentInsight.ai?
Alerts are an automated feature that monitors your incoming emails or documents using AI. You define the criteria or questions, and the system notifies you only when relevant information is detected—saving you time and reducing noise.
5. How do I set up an Alert?
To set up an Alert, set up your email system to automatically forward certain selected emails to a confidential email address found within your workspace settings (filter by sender, subject, keywords etc), define the conditions you want the AI to monitor, and specify your query or question. The AI will then scan new items and notify you when your criteria are met, with the desired result you requested.
6. What can I use Alerts for?
Alerts can be used for a huge variety of purposes, only limited by your imagination. Here are some common use cases:

7. Can alerts scan the attachments of emails?
Yes, as long as the attachments are in supported formats (PDF, DOCX, TXT, images, and common audio formats), the AI will process them and extract relevant information based on your defined criteria.
8. Can I manually send emails to my workspace and have the alerts process them?
Yes, you can manually forward emails to your workspace email address. The AI will process these emails and their attachments just like it does with automatically forwarded emails, allowing you to set up Alerts based on them. You may also send email messages as attachments, and they will be processed as seperate emails.
9. Are Alerts secure and private?
Absolutely. First off, we do not have access to your email system. What alerts process is only what you have chosen to forward to your workspace email address.
Second, all data is processed in a secure environment. Your emails and attachments are processed by AI models that are designed to respect privacy and confidentiality.
Your data is never shared or used for training AI models.
Additionally, you may delete any email or attachment at any time, and it will be permanently removed from our system.
10. How do I upload documents?
After logging in, go to your workspace and click the "Choose files" button. You can drag and drop files or select them from your device. After selecting the documents, click the "Upload" button to start processing, or wait for the 5 seconds countdown to finish (if you enabled it in your settings).
11. What file types are supported?
We support PDF, DOCX, TXT, and common image formats (JPG, PNG) for OCR processing. We also support common audio file formats such as mp3, mp4, wav, etc.
12. Is my data secure?
Yes, we use industry-standard encryption and strict access controls to protect your data both in transit and at rest.
We will never share your documents or queries with anyone.
Your files and data will not be used to train our, or anyone's AI models.
13. Can I search within my documents?
Absolutely! Our AI-powered search lets you find relevant information across all your uploaded documents using natural language queries.
14. How does the AI summarization work?
Upon upload, our AI automatically extracts or transcribes the text from the uploaded files and analyzes your documents to generates concise summaries and other meta-data, highlighting key points and insights.
15. Is there a free plan?
Yes, we offer a free plan with limited usage, using a hybrid GPTs app. Although free, this tool is extremely powerful and allows you to search and query your uploaded documents.
You can upgrade at any time for more features and higher limits.
16. How do I upgrade or change my subscription?
Go to the pricing page and select a new plan.
17. Can I delete my account and data?
Absolutely. First, you can delete individual documents and entire folders from your workspace at any time. Deleted documents are permanently removed from our system.
Additionally, you can delete your account and all associated data by contacting our support team in the Contact Us section.
18. Do you use my documents to train your AI?
No, your documents are never used to train our or third party AI models. We respect your privacy and confidentiality.
19. Can I share documents or results with others?
Yes, you can invite other users to your workspace by using the "Invite Guest" button on your workspace.
They will be sent an email invitation and through it will be able to acccess the folder you shared and use a portion of your quota allocation.
You can also copy the results from the chat window and share them with anyone you like.
20. What happens if I reach my usage limit?
You will be given a notice in the chat window. To continue using the service, you can upgrade your plan or wait for your quota to reset.

Yes, we comply with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations. You can request access or deletion of your data at any time.
23. Can I use DocumentInsight.ai on mobile devices?
Yes, our platform is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets.
24. What languages are supported?
Our site and user interface supports English.
Our workspace models support these languages: English, Hebrew, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Hindi.
Additional languages may be supported by our models when you select "auto" language.
25. How do I reset my password?
We don't use stored passwords. When you sign-in, you will be sent a single-use 5-digit code to your email.
26. Can I integrate DocumentInsight.ai with other tools?
Currently you can't. Our roadmap includes integration with other tools and platforms, so stay tuned for updates.
27. How often are new features released?
We regularly update DocumentInsight.ai with new features and improvements. Check our home page for the latest updates.
